The parents of our Lykoi kittens are TICA registered and the dad comes from a world championship bloodline. We are also listed on TICA as one of three registered Lykoi breeders in the US: https://tica.org/browse-all-breeders/?filter_by_breed=lykoi
Lykoi cats are sharp, energetic, and fiercely loyal! They're like having a tiny, hyper-intelligent watchdog in feline form. They’re deeply curious and will map out every inch of their environment, always aware and calculating. They form intense bonds with their humans. They play with the focus of a predator, but when they decide it’s time to relax, they’ll curl up beside you like they never had a wild streak at all. Social but never needy, independent but never distant, Lykoi kitties are the perfect mix of companionship and autonomy.
If you’re here, you’ve probably already seen a Lykoi and thought, what on earth is that cat??
That’s fair. They look part cat, part werewolf, part adorable goblin. But here’s the truth: Lykoi are a natural mutation of the domestic shorthair—no fancy hybrid, no relation to Sphynx, and definitely not a science experiment. Their patchy coat and unique look come from a genetic mutation that affects the way their hair grows (and sheds).
All Lykoi kittens are born fully coated, but things change fast. Around 1–4 weeks of age, their coat starts to thin out—sometimes dramatically. Some lose a lot of hair and look pretty bald, while others keep more of their coat. And yep, that can keep changing as they grow. Lykoi can go through seasonal molts where they lose hair and regrow it in unpredictable patterns.
Our Vet & Pickup Schedule
At our cattery, we work closely with future Lykoi parents to make sure your kitten comes home on a timeline that feels right for you.
For Shipping:
Kittens must be at least 16 weeks old before they can be shipped. This ensures they are strong, healthy, and fully prepared for travel.
For Local Pickup:
When it comes time to bring your new family member home, we give you two options so you can choose what feels best for you and your kitten:
Option 1 – Early Pickup (around 9 weeks):
Some families are so excited to start bonding that they just can’t wait, and we completely understand! At this stage, kittens will have their first round of vaccines and will be spayed/neutered by one of our trusted vets. They can usually go home a few days after surgery.
Why people like this option: it lets the love and bonding begin sooner, and many families find their kitten settles into the household more quickly when they start this young. It’s also a nice choice for those who already have a vet they trust and want to continue the rest of the kitten’s care with them.
Option 2 – Later Pickup (around 16 weeks, with 3 rounds of vaccines):
Other families prefer to give their kitten more time to grow, finish all three rounds of shots, and become a little more independent before making the transition.
Why people like this option: the kittens have stronger immune systems, they’re usually a touch more confident, and families appreciate the peace of mind knowing their kitten has already had most of their early vet work completed before coming home.
Either way, we’ll be here to support you and your kitten through the transition, and help make sure they’re set up for a happy, healthy start in their new home.
Please note that our standard pricing reflects pickup around 9 weeks. For kittens staying with us until 16 weeks, the price will be slightly higher to account for the additional veterinary care, vaccines, and extended time in our cattery.
